Only Connect (BBC4)

On Monday, the captain of one of the teams competing for third place in the BBC4 quiz show Only Connect had been described as a big fan of the PSB. He was around 50 and pretty knowledgeable on all sorts of topics.
Does anyone know if that person is haunting these shores? As his name was Dave I had imagined for a while he was DavePSB, before realizing the age did not match.
