Quite a lot of tracks missing, but still an amazing album.

Definitely a great collection of songs. The cover looks great too.

Where's Pilots, Twist, Fly Me Away and Caravan Girl? Why include only 14 tracks when they could as well make it comprehensive by cramming in the few missing singles?

14 seems a bit light.

I am a Goldfrapp fan, but there is something lightweight about them. They've never made anything I dislike, yet, they don't hold my attention for long.

It probably depends what you're listening to. I'd rank their first two albums up there among the best music I own (this is a highly sought after accolade). Alison is an extremely clever lyric writer, with a style that if it isn't unique, I've never come across before. The soundscapes are breathtaking, particularly on Felt Mountain, and they're one of the best live acts I've ever seen.

I wasn't as blown away by the last two albums, but Happiness and Believer are great pop songs. But I'll agree that 14 tracks seems a bit stingy. But then there's no particularly good reason why an album should be 80 minutes long any more, and 14 is probably quite a good number for people to get started with.

By the way, Human is the biggest omission for me. The Dave Bascombe mix is great and sadly forgotten.

Since the title is The Singles, the listener is basically promised a package that includes all the proper singles. Just imagine the uproar here, if It's Alright, Love Comes Quickly, Being Boring and Jealousy were omitted from Discography for no particular reason. For me the biggest robbery is leaving out Pilots, a crucial Goldy single if there ever was one.

I can't say that I like the cover either. It looks like fan art. The Supernature cover image plays a too central role in the overall design.

I don't think Goldfrapp have reached the stage yet where their listeners think they're owed anything - your comment says more about PSB fans! Toddle over to the Goldfrapp forum and you'll find very little uproar.

As a 'fan of Goldfrapp, having seen them, bought their singles and albums, I'd say this was a disappointment. Agree with Eldritch, 'Pilots' is an amazing track. I can't for the life of me think why there's any sense putting out a 'Singles' collection where

1. it doesn't actually include all of their singles and
2. features two new tracks that, so far, aren't actually singles.

Pointless. Be better just to download the two new tracks and ignore the rest.

Every forum and band has their own share of crazies. I know of one girl who wears adult diapers so that she can queue extra early at General Admission gigs for Duran Duran without leaving the queue to go to the toilet.
