...I thought wouldn't be far away, and the story we'd be hearing about her soon. However it looks like she's finally admitted she's got a serious drug problem and is getting treatment. Oh well.....

Houston in rehab

Whitney Houston has checked into a drugs rehabilitation facility, her publicist has confirmed.

The troubled pop diva thanked "everyone for their support and prayers" in an official statement released overnight from Los Angeles, which confirmed the news.

No further details were made available by her spokesman, who declined to offer any details about the nature of Houston's current problems with narcotics or her present location.

Houston has never been far from the front-pages of the tabloids in recent years, after a large quantity of cannabis was found in her bag at an airport in Hawaii in 2000.

Her husband, Bobby Brown, was last reported to be in prison after violating the terms of his probation at the end of last month. The couple were married in 1992.

I thought she had died!! that couple she has -Bobby Brown- put her into trouble since she knew him. She has a great voice (though I cannot stand "I will always love you" ballad) and she shouldn´t need a person who just brings her problems. She could be big again if she took things seriously.
