Apart from New Order, Electronic is my second favourite band so there's one question: Will Sumner & Marr come back one day together - and: would like to see a comeback generally? What do you think? What is your favourite album. I love all three cds and I hope to get another one in the future. Especially the last one, which is my favourit, Twisted Tenderness was fabulous! Chris

Twisted Tenderness (The Song) it´s amazing, same goes for Forbbiden City, i like Electronic, but I don´t think about a new album in the next 2 years, Bernard is recording a new album with New Order and the recording process goes very slow.

Any news on Martin Gore or Depeche??

I heard that Fletch went to visit Martin at his Santa Barbara home recently. I know that Martin and Dave have been writing new songs, but as far as them getting together for another Depeche Mode album, that is still up in the air. They are supposed to all get together later in the year to discuss the bands future.

David's Depeche quote, in case you can not make it out, is as follows:
"I'm writing right now. I know Martin is writing as well. Hopefully we'll get together later in the year, to talk about what we're gonna do next. Hopefully that will be a Depeche thing. We'll have to wait and see what happens, so we'll keep you posted."

I absolutely love "Electronic" and think it's a classic; like "Raise the pressure" lots; never managed to get through the guitaristic masturbation orgy that "Twisted tenderness" is. Apart from "TT", "Vivid" and "Late at night" all the songs seem to be 50 minutes long, have no tune of any kind whatsoever and in general make "Release" seem an electronic masterpiece with millions of catchy hooks :]

which album has Karl Bartos - RTP or the third one?

I think all three of them are really good, I wouldn't really pick one over the other. They're certainly better than anything New Order ever came up with, or Johnny Marr after the Smiths, so I do hope they'll get back together.

As in the case of Pet Shop Boys (and quite a few other 80s bands, ABC on top) I find their first album still their best - and not just because of the PSB collaborations.

All tracks are great pop material, including the b-sides and (re)mixes!!!

If the first album is a 10, then the second would be a 7 and the last/latest only a (let's be kind) 4. So, in that respect I haven't been really anticipating a new Electronic album...

'Electronic' is a decent album with some nice songs like Getting away with it, The patience of a saint, Get the message, Some distant memory and Gangster. Didn't like the last single, 'Feel every beat'.

I was very disappointed when I first listened to the 2nd album, now it is my favourite. Stand out tracks: Forbidden City, For you, If you've got love, Out of my league, Visit me, How long, Time can tell.

I never liked their last album, but Twisted Tenderness is an amazing song. Vivid and Late At Night aren't bad either, but the rest is pretty boring.

Best b-sides: Second to none, I feel alright

I´d love Electronic to make music again.

I agree, the 3rd Electronic album is just so so.

Confirm by Hooky himself over the phone, his new side project featuring Mani (Primal Scream and ex Stone Roses) and Andy Rourke (ex The Smiths) has been named "Free bass".

New Order is actually in studio outside Manchester working on the new album. More news soon!!!!

I heard a rumour about DM´s back in studio in June! i think Fletch said it somewhere
