F*cking scandalous really when you think of all the people who tried to get tickets and were unsuccessful. I was out today but when I got in I was watching the tennis and could count the crowd. And this was on a sunny Saturday - the first day of the Games!!!!! Fat corporate c*nts.

Didn't they charge people £15 for standing by the side of the road for the cycle race?

Look at the tennis that's on now. It's barely half-full yet according to the site, all tennis tickets are sold out for the week. An utter disgrace.

It really makes me angry to see (see the Broken Britain thread  )

It's bad enough living in a banana republic but when you see just how crooked the operation is on the first weekend of the first Olympic Games in this country for three-quarters of a century, it is sickening. Imagine how many people applied for countless tickets only to be unsuccessful.....and then they see this. Lord Coe should be stuck in the stocks for the fortnight.

Loads were turned away from the Archery yesterday because they got the impression it was pay on the gate.

The Tennis would fill up straight away if they put out a message to come along. It would be a good day out for a lot of people. Shameful.

Is Wimbledon situated inside the Olympic Park, or whatever it's called?

No, it's at Wimbledon itself (south-west London). The Olympic Park is in East London. Ergo even if the tennis shouldn't really be in the Olympics, one can spend the day at the most famous tennis courts in the world.

Plus the roof is on so they've not even got the excuse of getting wet!

Someone down your way should hide in the bushes and throw drawing pins on the road just before the cyclists go past.

It is bollocks though but in a way, good that its happened because it just shoes corrupt Coe up for what he is.
