An amazing album and one of my favourites but this re-release is tragic - why release remixes and b-sides on the bonus disc which are not from the period the album covered? I mean 'Twisted Tenderness' was on the third album! Won't be getting this one - seems a wasted opportunity.

what's the point, who will buy it....

I will buy it. Besides being one of my favorite albums it probably sounds better than the original CD I have and there are several tracks on the second disc that I don't have.

Getting Away With It (original version) is a genuine lost gem, and that Marr picked guitar bit towards the end is an element they should have included in the final mix. I listen to that version more than any other.

Agreed - it is a bit perplexing that they're mixing songs that are not of that album release period - but it will still be nice to have this reissue in the collection anyways. retrofuturist was spot on with what they should have done and it's a shame that people at the label don't think when they're doing reissues. I wonder what a complete expanded deluxe Second Nature album would look like.

What, exactly is "deluxe" about this edition? It doesn't seem to say anywhere. And as I posted elsewhere, the bonus CD has the dumbest track listing I have ever seen. Won't be buying this until I see it kicking around for £4.99, which it inevitably will.

This is worse than a wasted opportunity - it is actually moronic.

I was skeptical about this but WOW some of those edits are amazing good. They are not just edits of existing mixes they are new mixes. I am avid collector and have every track to date and there are some new gems here. Here is my rundown of the bonus disc after first listen

1. Disappointed 7" big deal it was on the single
2. Second To None (Edit) ya sounded like a regular edit to me
3. Lean To The Inside (Edit) regular edit
4. Twisted Tenderness (Guitar/Vocal Mix) great new mix very enjoyable
5. Idiot Country Two - Same old from disappointed single maybe slightly different at the beginning track length is different by 20sec so need to listen closer
6. Free Will (Edit) NEW MIX this is a great mix and worth it just for that!!
7. Until The End Of Time (Edit) new mix of the original and is an instrumental Very Good!
8. Feel Every Beat (Edit) This is an edit of the (Downstairs Mix) without the extra vocals "Get Down" "Pump the Rhythm" bits
9. Getting Away With It (Instrumental) speaks for itself
10. Turning Point (Edit) new mix slightly different
11. Visit Me (Edit) sounded like a regular edit
12. Twisted Tenderness (Instrumental) sounds a little different maybe some levels are set differently


Over all I am happy with the new mixes. I agree the lineup is strange but I usually break down these kind of things and put them on the singles I think they should belong to in iTunes anyway.

oh ya it is. and it does sound a bit different in parts. had a phone call during that one and didn't notice before
