And there are even celebrations in Australia - well in my place at least

I won a tenner on the Grand National sweepstake here at work and got my money this morning. A great day so far! Don't things like this come in threes? What's next?

That's it. I can't really get excited while her disciples are busy dismantling the welfare state...

I've been waiting for this moment for 25 years, and here's a very moving poem from 1988, which I feel sums up our feelings:
The kind people
Have a wonderful dream
Margaret on the guillotine
Cause people like you
Make me feel so tired
When will you die ?
When will you die ?
When will you die ?
When will you die ?
When will you die ?
And people like you
Make me feel so old inside
Please die
And kind people
Do not shelter this dream
Make it real
Make the dream real
Make the dream real
Make it real
Make the dream real
Make it real

Ironic with the tensions in the Falkland Islands rising again. That's the only thing as it happens I'm sure of Thatcher. Her big success story fending off the Argentinians.

Sorry guys.. Why do you hate her? I really don't know...
Funny its been talked about in the Age of Facebook topic, how forums give you anonimity. For instance here you can wish death on just about anyone and celebrate when it does happen. So now we know who does just that without shame.
Difficult for me to have more firm views on Thatcher herself because I was still in nappies when she resigned, but as I grew up I didn't care about what Prime Ministers and other policians did until the second Iraq conflict, which unlike the Falklands War, it didn't need to be started or have Britain involved.

She was a hugely divisive figure in British politics. She is adored by the right, but loathed by those on the left for the sweeping changes that she made to Britain in the 1980s.

I'm not celebrating her death. I just feel deeply sorry for what this country and the world as a whole has become. A fuse was lit when she became PM. It was nearly extinguished, but then the Falklands happened and the rest has been a surreal dream...

Things were in far better shape when she was in charge than they are now
