This type of thread would have been burning by now.
So whats everyones thoughts?
Italy have been the best side imo. Spain a close second. England half decent but held back by incompetent management. Home nations ok but Ireland didnt turn up today.
Felt a bit soory for teams like Iceland and Albania. Both good with little luck.

Italy's touch and technique is fantastic. I think it'll be between the usual suspects - I bet on France because I think they have outstanding players but Italy, Spain, and Germany will be in there. Belgium are dark horses, hopefully not England.
Portugal have looked decent but when Ronaldo doesn't score, they lack a cutting edge. Russia need to invade a few more countries so they can get back the old CCCP team.

I'd be more interested in a football match between Remain and Leave to be honest. Leave would be naturally handicapped with BoJo (demented eyes and blinding fringe), Farage (balancing pint of beer and fag) and Michael Gove (brain currently orbiting the planet Zog)* but I'm sure they'd make up for it by bribing the referee, adding fake crowd cheers and nobbling the opposition goalkeeper.
*apologies to Zog

I am glad that Russia goes home. That was a shame. The weakest team of millionaires. They lost all matches, they play awful. It was better if Holland play in Euro. Actually, Russian citizens offered to terminate all team except the goalkeeper. He did what he could. I wish the best team will win in Euro.
Actually I think all Russian footballers must be fired and the government must cancel the Russian national league. There is no reason to make it here, no motivation, no good players, nothing interesting, the corruption, empty stadiums. It's just the wasting of money. There are more reason to develop the ice hockey and forget about the football. We are (Russian) so tired to believe in this shit.

Brilliant day of games today!
Republic of Ireland were fantastic to beat Italy and Iceland were brilliant in beating Austria and doing England a favour in helping us avoid Portugal. Hungry v Portugal was a pretty decent game!
To see all 3 home nations through plus Republic of Ireland is great news and I will be cheering all of them on in the next round even if one of the games is between two of them!
I still fancy Germany to win the tournament myself, they just always seem to pull it out of the bag when they need to! England will lose against France I'm sure unless Roy has another one of his tactical genius moments like for the Slovakia game....

Iceland are very passionate about their football. It's nice to see the underdog win sometimes.

I knew England were doomed after the first goal. They always go on to lose if they score early. I have seen this pattern again and again for years and years. f*** stupid wankers.

It's the curse of ITV
England were atrocious... The best player tonight was Rashford... Played 5 mins.

lmao. You have to laugh at that shambles. It was obvious once the same old larry letdowns wormed their way back onto the plane and into the team. Nothing learnt from Brazil.
In a way i'm glad. Especially for the F.A. They deserve everything they get.

Iceland were fantastic, to a man they gave everything and were amazing, total respect to all of them.
England were a disaster, from beginning to end. Quite how Stirling started the game and then Wilshere came on is beyond me. Two players woefully out of form and they should not have had a sniff. Bringing on Rashford so late was ridiculous as was taking off Rooney then pushing Cahill forward. Does that make any sense?
Embarassing but deserved, happens too often to be a coincidence as far as I'm concerned. At least Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland went out with a bit of pride, certainly not us.
Italy though were fantastic today, tactically and technically they were outstanding, don't think they will win it but they are up there with a great chance. Germany still my favourites though. Please don't let the French win!

No doubt Wilshere is back on the fags already.
Iceland were brilliant but that was the worst performance I've ever seen by an England team. Which woot vegetable is Woy? A wadish?

I don't think you should critic English team. England was good, look at Spain, they had few chances but they lost. England had few chances. It's football. Russia was a disaster, yes, that was the worst team on Euro, but England, Spain were really good. Let's see what will happen in Russia 2018. England have many young talented players, let them grow.

This disaster is being over analysed again by those in charge. There might be an underlying issue with bottling it but fooking hell, we went out because fundamentally our tactics were atrocious, along with some players being chosen that defied belief. I dont know if an England manager is told to pick some players because of who they play for. It could happen and wouldnt be surprised if it did ut the bottom line is our set up was amatuerish (and thats being kind) and players such as Wilshere, Henderson, Sturridge and Sterling shouldnt have even been on the plane for one reason or another.
They might not be world class but Drinkwater, Noble, Carroll and Townsend did loads more last season than the above players. You should earn your place, not be given it because of your name or team you play for.
While that philosophy is in place, there will always be failure just around the corner. Clump those into a team with a few others playing all over the pitch, youre getting beaten.
