According to you. I don't support Trump, but you can't entirely dismiss all those that do from your ivory liberal conceited tower. Unless you are a celeb of course, protected from the impact any politics whatsoever.

Thing is, it’s fine not to like Trump’s policies, or not to like Brexit. 16 million people did not support Brexit, many people don’t like Trump’s policies. I am sure they were all decent people and I totally respect that. But for those people who are anti Trump’s policies, or remainers, to suggest in any way whatsoever that their stance is intellectually superior or that people who do not agree with their views are “stupid”, or that “the education system has failed us” as you just said, well, seriously, I’ll be polite (as Neil suggests good manners are important) and I won’t say the rude phrase in my head. And it’s definitely no way to win hearts and minds.

But that attitude of supposed intellectual superiority on their part just drives home the true definition of “populism” which you can find if you Google it or look at the first line of the Wikipedia article: “Populism is a political philosophy supporting the rights and power of the people in their struggle against a privileged elite.” Yeah, absolutely it is. Trump is kicking up a stink, breaking the old rules, and finally getting results which have evaded the old politicians for decades. Anti-globalisation, retaining the individual characteristics which make your country great.

I voted to leave the EU because it is a bureaucratic gravy train for failed politicians which seeks to homogenise Europe, centralize power, and remove the freedoms from individual states and citizens. It’s a monolithic superstate trying to smother us with compliance and conformity. Look at poor Greece and Italy - their spirit has been crushed. It’s anti-freedom and anti individual creativity. Let’s get Britain back and unleash our creativity again.

Oh, and I’m not thick. Thank you. And neither - absolutely neither - are the 17 million bloody great people of this country who bravely voted to leave.

Absolutely neither!? There are huge numbers of thick people on both sides of the vote, and in those who didn't vote.

I have no problem at all with thick people. Some of my best friends are thick as two short planks, It’s the thick people who think they’re clever - that’s the problem.

It’s just become far too easy in this age of Facebook to post material which is inflammatory. It’s one reason why I’m off Facebook. Politics is definitely one of those subjects which is best avoided, best kept private. Everyone has a different opinion. This country is still very divided, and bloody Facebook just inflames everything. It’s very easy to get in an little bubble on Facebook with your friends, spouting opinions, and then you put it out to the wider world and - to your great surprise - not everyone agrees with you. The important thing to realise is that they’re not “stupid”, they just see the world differently.

Part of the issue with President Trump is that he doesn’t think but he jumps on Twitter and writes some real rubbish, I don’t mind Trump myself but when he pounds on Twitter without thinking about he is writing he does come across like a bit of a Nob !!

Trump may have some "smarts", but his whole existence is based on a sense of bullish entitlement. Doesn't equate to being actually smart.
