I have a few scrapbooks from my early years of fandom which I used to archive magazine and newspaper cuttings. Smash Hits particularly. Many of these will have already found their way online since, but I thought I would start to share some bits and pieces here in case there is anything of interest to anyone. The quality won’t be amazing as I am doing it all via my phone but they should hopefully be comfortably legible. Admins, feel free to move if you think this would be better elsewhere - I am having trouble with my permissions and am struggling to start new threads in some of the other forum sections.

Do you (or anyone else reading this) recall the Smash Hits issue where there was a section that included what their (and other artists) favourite sandwiches where (I think Neil’s included avocado, if I’m not mistaken)?

I used to have this issue. It would have been from 1986, ‘87 or ‘88. I unfortunately lost it in a flood about 6 years ago. I’d love to see scans of this issue someday. I’d lucked upon it at a small local shop which used to sell import magazines. A rarity in the small City I’m from in Canada.

I bet that derelict East London warehouse where they filmed the It’s A Sin video has been yuppie flats for years. Interesting that Neil fibbed about it being their oldest song. I suppose it was their oldest song that they’d recorded up to that point.

I may well have the PSB cuttings from it. I’ll keep an eye out.

I remember this interview really sealed the deal for me as a fan. Not only was the song amazing, and the video amazing, but they were funny as well.
