Pet Shop Boys - Philately

I've missed ordering first day covers for this issue but it's good to see one of the official DSB stamps using a photograph from the BBC Electric proms and also a mention of Pet Shop Boys in the presentation pack.

Also my workplace the Royal Albert hall gets a mention and two labels in the prestige stamp booklet. I collect RAH related stamp issues, so this is terrific for me!

Since posting originally I discovered that Shirley is also pictured in one of the black and white photographs used in the stamp design in a ''rehearsal before a Royal Albert Hall concert'', so I assume the photo was taken there too.
Any PSB fans who collect stamps here?

Bless! Yes, I've just been viewing those too, although it claims they are valid for posting from Ukraine I think they are "Cinderella" stamps (labels). Someone has gone to great lengths to produce and print those.

I've re-named this thread!
Just discovered the cool 2022 ROI stamp showing Neil Jordan as part of the stamp set celebrating Ireland's Oscar Winners. A nice PSB related item as of course they produced Boy George's cover of the award winning The Crying Game as well as several other tracks on the soundtrack.

How phabulous! I phorgot that "The Performance Of My Life" was a song for the divine DSB. I only heard it recently when I phinally downloaded Phundamental FL and for some reason I assumed it was part of the Billie Trix "Musik" suite (which I still haven't got to) - probably thanks to seeing Closer To Heaven so recently (as you well know, Sandy!). OK, so I'm getting my divas confused...
Now you've got me going down the Royal Mail rabbit hole and wishing I still did stamp collecting. Dungeons and Dragons! Red Arrows!! Spice Girls!!! It's so much more creative than I remember.
Of course it would be phantastic to see a PSB stamp but I suspect you would only be able to phind them at UKP1.35 each because it's a well known phact that Pet Shop Boys only travel First Class. (Ba-

TSSSS!)

Thanks for this reply!
Yes, some lovely commemorative stamps are produced these days - I agree with you on ''First Class'' for the Pets!

I had a brief phase when I was much younger of buying first day editions and a few years back someone bought me the Bowie stamps which are great. My mother has a large collection which I dare say I'll inherit one day. There are definitely worse hobbies to have.

It just occurred to me that they should also grace an international stamp because then you could send them (*ahem*) "All over the world".
Thank you, thank you, I'm here all week...
