I was only aware of the late, great Sophie after viewing one of her videos in the V and A Diva exhibition. From the article:

My Forever also harks back to Sophie’s 80s obsession, specifically her love of Pet Shop Boys. “We were in the studio till the sun came up, basically,” says Believe. “We made it and then spent three or four hours just listening to it on loop – we knew we had made something that was such an emotional sweet spot.”

Thanks for sharing! Was sure she was a fan after the first track on the posthumous album was subtitled "The Full Horror"

These lines and melody at this point from the Sophie track have the strongest PSB echoes for me:

I was racking my brain for a few minutes but of course the melody starts taking some of the same line as

The video they played at the V and A was "It's OK to Cry" by the way. The Pets have also popped up in at least one V and A exhibition over the years too!

Ooo and one more thing, I said I was first aware of Sophie after she had passed away thanks to the exhibition, however in happier times I'd shared a train carriage with her without knowing who she was and she was on her phone talking about some plans do do with music, I didn't pluck up the courage to ask her her name that day, I should have done!
