Always harboured a sliver of hope Marianne might have covered "Friendly Fire" at some point in her late career. Would have loved to have heard her voice, filled with all that life experience, working its way through the song.

Oh that would have been something!
My hope was to catch her ''live'' at some point but I never achieve that sadly...
Here's her recording of Mad About the Boy...

Jonathan Harvey on MF...
RIP Marianne Faithfull. What an extraordinary life and talent. A big inspiration for the character Billie Trix in Closer To Heaven. And never not entertaining. I’ll never forget her appearance on the panel of Never Mind The Buzzcocks where they had to spot a star from the 80s. Five women were wheeled on and they had to guess which one was Hazel O’Connor. Marianne said confidently “I know Hazel. She’s my neighbour in Ireland!” And then picked the wrong woman. In a world of drab beige so-called celebrities, Marianne was a ferocious diamond. And if you’ve never read this autobiography… you’re missing out.

I will always remember her with Alain Delon and Mick Jagger sitting by her two sides, and Jagger was sulking like a child while the other two were having the time of their lives, chatting and heartily laughing. To many, this was the dictionary definition of jealousy (Jagger and Faithfull were lovers back then).
RIP beautiful lady.
