My first advice is to check the official RSD website. However, they don't list every country, so I'd recommend searching on Google to see if any local stores have participated in previous years and whether they will this year. Stores usually receive their stock a few days before the event and often advertise which releases they'll have, but it doesn't hurt to ask. On the day of the event, you'll need to queue outside the store to get your desired product, or you can wait until the event ends and check online to see if any stores have posted remaining copies. Keep in mind that RSD has two "drops"—one for the USA and one for the UK. Not every country receives both drops, and some don't get any at all. In this case, Dusty's release is for RSD UK, while Johnny's is for RSD USA.

And this is why RSD has become rather groan-worthy. It's a decent initiative and it's fine to encourage physical stores, but the consequence is that it's far too exclusive - whether based on people's country, or their proximity to a record store. Thankfully most of the RSD stock ends up being available to order on-line soon after, but there's all these extra hoops, grifters and finger-crossings which could just be avoided if they were normal standard releases, available to anyone willing to pay for them.

The Indy records shops end up becoming effectively shelving units for the online behemoths. Unfortunately, whatever the fine motives behind these things, the most powerful players will end up being the greatest beneficiaries. And the concept of limited edition will plunder regions of absurdity hitherto undreamt of, safe in the knowledge that somewhere out there someone wants the demo recording of Bob Dylan's 115th turd, before he polished it.

Hope Getting Away With It contains Neil's seemingly adlibbed outro vocal, it was so good and wistful in that way he excels ("In 1989...").

Agreed - it's a rather excellent version and added lyrics is always a treat.

I was thinking how amazing a 4th Electronic album would be - with PSB, karl Bartos (is he still alive?) and of course Sumner and Marr - i think it's my last pop wish

Karl Bartos is very much still alive and I can recommend his autobiography.

I'd love to see a new Electronic album, and also with PSB participation again. Can't help feel it's been diminishing returns on each album. Even though there's still a lot of good stuff, that debut album just knocked it out of the park.

Electronic, in it's earliest iteration, really was the Supergroup of its time.

Karl is very much still alive and making and performing music. Check out his autobiography. It’s very thorough but a really good read.
Wolfgang Fleur has a new album out next month too.
