If COVID never happened

The general feeling I'm reading of exhaustion over the Dreamworld dates this year and the delayed release of the DVD got me thinking about how things might have played out had COVID never happened.

The Boys must have had some sort of "plan" for the years ahead, even if songs weren't written or completed yet, and it all got shelved or pushed back.

Anyone want to have fun with an alternate timeline where Dreamworld and Unity tours went off without a hitch and were likely done and dusted before Nonetheless came out? Maybe Nonetheless would have been released a year earlier?

What would the Annually releases have looked like? Would we have maybe had Disco 5 or a new B-sides compilation by now?

Would the Since 1984 branding have happened differently?

Lots to muse on.

I'd seen it by now. I bought tickets to Stockholm in 2020 but when covid was over there were scheduling conflicts on my part. Was really looking forward to the bluray release after 5 years of waiting. Ah well, Cher did her farewell tour 25 years ago and will hit the road again. Next time then.

Neil said in the Manchester q&a that they release an album around every three years - other than electric - that has been their plan for a long time.

Dreamworld would be done, yes.

But does that mean they'd have a fresh tour now?

Or are they just making up for Covid - but in reality would have preferred to not be doing this big tour in 2025?

Greetings,

As it relates to Dreamworld specifically, I have always envisaged this "greatest hits" tour as their touring swan-song. I think all the pandemic did was delay its commencement, and potentially push out its finale.

Retro. :)
