King's Cross also works like an up-tempo song

I've always thought it was the best ballad of the career of PSB, at least on musical terms.
But this is so anthemic that it could work like a big disco anthem. This remix is really good. This version works even like a single material and better than many of their last singles.
It's also on Youtube's section.

Their 3rd nr 1 in 1987. Their first charity single after King's X fire.
Pity they never thought of it themselves, doing an up-tempo mix.

Kings Cross is my favorite song.
It's not that this remix is bad. It's just that, in my opinion, this song doesn't easily lend itself to a faster tempo. I feel like it kills its soul and essence.
However, I really liked this guy's remix of It's Alright.
Very good.

It lost me at the Heart mashup. It's an interesting concept though for this song and reminds me a lot of a band I liked called Ganymede (when I was in a bit of a PSB lull/off season).
Euromantique is a pretty solid album.

i like it.
mattpop is a very good remixer, and manages to remix songs in his unique style.
some are official too.. (like ones he did for erasure)..
i don't like the heart samples and sound though...

tracey thorn cover the song, and hot chip remixed it:

"King's Cross also works like an up-tempo song"
In your opinion.
In mine, no, it doesn't.

Yes it is. Ninthwave Records and A Different Drum put out some really good music to tide us over during Pet Shop Boys' nadir. I still regularly listen to Spray.
As for the Kings Cross mix, if the vocals and the Heart samples were removed, I'd quite like it. Alas.
Retro.

That would have been sick (in a bad way).
