Absolutely sad. But at least she's upfront about it, unlike what they recently did with Madonna's demos from the "Bedtime Stories" era...

Curiosity killed this cat - I took a listen so you don't have to. It's pretty generic and I'm sure she spent all of 5 minutes recording the snatches of spoken word.
Nothing to see here.

Sounds like the studio hasn't updated
their plug-ins since 1993

I nearly started a similar thread a couple of days ago. Not a huge PSB connection, but as Liza puts it (her social medial posts are in fact penned by Michael Feinstein):
Hi Kids, I’m happy as a clam, laughing like hell and losing my mind! It’s all goin’ on at the time. Today, my first EDM single since The Pet Shop Boys era, released on @elevenlabsio , a Six Billion Dollar techno behemoth does amazing things. Matthew McConaughey was an early investor. Smart. What I will not allow this great company to do? Create, clone or copy my voice! On this dance track, “Kids Wait Till You Hear This” which is a tease for my book, we used AI arrangements. Not AI vocals. A few trolls didn’t bother to read the truth, check with me or my partners. The shout outs are all mine! Go listen, enjoy, and shake your pretty buns to the music, as we glide down the runway to send my book into the world and your very own hot hands. And the photograph? Not retro. Au Courant.
Very clever thread title!

Many feel she’s being completely taken advantage of by those who seem to be in control of her affairs, including the formerly respected singer and pianist Michael Feinstein.

After listening this mess, « The sound of the atom splitting » is honey for the ears.

The title caught my eye...I had just gotten done watching a limited series on HBO called Halston and it had a woman playing Liza and she sang a tune Liza with a Z.
whoever she is did a fantastic job as much as Ewok McGregor. yeah the tune is not good.
The spoken bits is odd because if you are going to utilize ai she might as well not do it half assed and kick it up a notch and she should have sampled her old albums performances and then have someone who can sing sing using her voice. I honestly didnt know she was alive.
I totally expect the boys next album to secretly have been written via one of the Ai's and I suspect we will notice a shift somehow.
when you can literally create 300 songs in a day and pick like you are at a chinese buffet whats best, its going to be good. I know its not a popular notion, but I suspect it will improve things noticeably.
