I remember the first time I heard Absolutely fabulous - Instantly though this sounds like Captain Hollwood Project "More and More " - also the Our tribe remix sounds like it was inspired by JX "Son Of A Gun"

Let's face it, Absolutely fabulous was a throwaway track the Boys could write in their sleep.

Yes, exactly, Son Of A Gun ! Which is funny because JX is now known as Rex The Dog, and in his first Rex LP from 2008, there was a track called "Eeveryday Could Be Our Last Day". First time I heard it, I instantly thought : Hey, is Neil Tennant singing on this ??? No singer is credited on this track, but even though the voice was heavily processed I really could hear Neil. It made sense, since another track called Bubblicious featured a vocal by Alison Moyet, sampled from the song Midnight by Yazoo so why not ?

I was such a fan of the album, I just decided to write to Rex, praising his record, asking a few technical question about his use of modular synths, and also asking him if Neil did feature uncredited on the song. An you know what...he actually sent me a very nice reply ! And he said I was not the first asking about Neil Tennant. He wrote : What you hear is actually my own voice with lots of pitch shifters, formant filters etc...
Then he cheekily added something like: Anyway, with all the technology, you can't really trust your ears these days, can you haha.

So...18 years later whenever I hear the track I'm still wondering

What do you all think ?
