When you look back at who has mixed The Boys over the years and a lot of the time, have been ahead of the curve (MK in 1993 for example). It does amaze me that we’ve never got a Fatboy Slim, Paul Oakenfold, Judge Jules or BICEP remixes. Anyone else “huge” who’ve never been asked/commissioned that I’ve overlooked?

Four Tet ... I'd love to see what he could do with a PSB track.

I don’t think Pet Shop Boys were Fatboy Slim or Big Beat fans. I remember Andy Gray (Oakenfold collaborator) remixing Go West for a football comp, but this never emerged. Judge Jules remixed Cicero but I don’t think he was a PSB fan. I love Bicep - that would be great. Armand Van Helden is another big name they’ve never worked with.

I would have loved an Above & Beyond remix. There's still time.....

I'm glad they never did anything with Fatboy Slim. Can't see that would have worked well at all. Not sure JJ ever did a lot of remixes did he? Don't think the boys ever did anything with John Digweed did they - that would have been good I think.

Not a huge name but Henry Saiz has done some fantastic mixes and originals and is a big 80s synth fan. That'd be one collab I'd like to hear

Roger Sanchez? Someone else has already mentioned Armand Van Helden, Mood II Swing? Eric Morillo?

Disappointingly never drifted too far from house, the Real Lies and Baba Stilltz mixes in recent years are standouts for me...oh and the Solomun and Superchumbo mixes even more recently...but still housey apart from the Real Lies mix

Yes he did. I hated Big Beat, the worst era for dance music in my opinion...yawn, yawn, yawn.

There was an interview I recall from around the time of Neil's Twentieth Century Blues album where Norman Cook said he was asked to contribute a track, but he declined and was quite dismissive of the project.

I’d be very surprised if they’d approached Fatboy Slim for a remix. Is this documented anywhere?

Neil said it at some point...they were into big beat...Truck Driver and Disco Potential are sort of in that vein

I’d just read the same. Completely new to me. I guess this is just before Big Beat took off completely.

From back In the day, surprised Jellybean or John Luongo never got asked/commissioned, especially with their US Club influence.
