Pet Shop Boys released their debut album, Please, on 24th March, 1986 so we're throwing a special 40th anniversary party dedicated to our favourite gloomy duo.

We'll be playing all our fave tracks from this classic album, which includes hits such as, West End Girls, Surburbia, Opportunities (Let's Make Lots of Money) and Love Comes Quickly, as well as loads of other hits and faves from Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe's other albums.

And of course, we'll be playing all the usual gloomy artists too, so it won't be Pet Shop Boys all night

As well as an extra dose of Pet Shop Boys, you can expect the usual sad songs from the likes of David Bowie, The Smiths, Pulp The Clash, Depeche Mode, Blur, The Cure, Nick Cave, Suede, New Order, Echo & The Bunnymen, Kate Bush, Blondie, Nirvana, Human League, Manic Street Preachers, Joy Division and much more!

Feeling Gloomy has appeared at numerous festivals during it's 20 years including Glastonbury, Standon Calling, Reading, Isle of Wight, Latitude, Green Man and more.

"The perfect place for a miserable night out" NME

"Brilliant fun, despite what the promoters want you to think" The Independent

"Fantastic" The Guardian

"The Maestros of Mooching" The Times

I've just booked for this - hope to meet some other Forum Petheads there!

Such bizarre marketing. A few of their songs are downbeat and their lyrics are intelligent. But they’re not gloomy! A very weird angle.

It won't be a gloomy event! I think it's a tongue in cheek homage tother indie acts these nights started celebrating.

Yeah, I've been to a couple of other ones. I'd be up for this if I was around. Not many pub/club nights around where you can bust moves to Two Divided By Zero.

An evening with Pet Shop Boys and Nirvana. Sure, why not?

Hehe!

We had a far from gloomy night! I stayed till the bitter end at 3am, the DJ had already played West End girls the Bobby O version and he bowed out with the Stephen Hague version.

On a non PSB night I would go again but maybe leave at 1 or 2am - it was thinning out towards the end.

Thanks to my wonderful Pethead friends who were there. Maybe photos to follow if I obtain permission.
