Battleship Potemkin in Berlin

Can anybody who is going to the Battleship Potemkin performance in Berlin on 4 September furnish me with some details?

-Where exactly on the Museum Island is the show taking place? Is there a square or is it inside a venue?

-As it is a ticketed event, at what time is it advisable to arrive at the venue, anticipating a 20.00 start?

-What are the nearest U and S-bahn stations to the Museum Island?

-Will one get a better position the earlier one arrives?

I hope somebody can enlighten me on those points. In the meantime, bon voyage to everybody going to any Potemkin shows and for those who aren't... get down to a record store on Monday and buy the CD!

Museumsinsel

- S-Bahnhof Hackescher Markt
- Tram M1 Am Kupfergraben (Closest Stop; you can take the S-Bahn to Hackescher Markt and then the M1 to Am Kupfergraben)
- Bus 100 Am Lustgarten (I think)

Harry, I live in that part of the town and funnily enough ended up shooting some pics there the other day, here's one showing the venue (stage to the left).

The concert will be open air, in the colonnade courtyard of the Alte Nationalgalerie. I'm not sure it'll be sold out, but anyhoo, the courtyard is sort of mediumsized and, yes, you'll get a better position the earlier you arrive.

Oh, by all means, if you have to use public transport to get around, ride the overground S-Bahn, it's way more fun. The nearest station is indeed Hackescher Markt (also a good starting point with many cafes and restaurants, only three minutes by foot to Museum Island).

Enjoy your stay!
