Chris and Neil are now back in the studio with producer Trevor Horn and aim to complete their new album by November.
Horn is now producing the whole album with Pet Shop Boys and 12 new songs are being worked on. Mixing of the tracks should commence in two or three weeks.

I'm glad they decided to stick with 1 producer. I hope we get an album now not a collection of songs like Nightlife. Release was an album I know, it just wasn't a very good album.

Well let's hope that the initial tracks they produced with Horn sounded that fantastic that they decided to stick with him for the whole record.

new as in recently written, or new as in haven't appeared before. From past comments regarding number of songs being written I assume a lot have been dumped. Hopefully Horn will give the album some cohesiveness, shame no further mention has ever been made of Abu Duque, his album is excellent

But at the end, does it mean this new album will include 12 songs or 2 of them are B-sides?

This sounds very great

I'm also happy about them sticking to one producer. I look forward to this album. I have high expectations.

Good news, at least the album will sound consistent instead of all over the place like Bilingual and Nightlife and unlike Pete Gleadall, Trevor Horn won't have been a 'Yes, sir' man all this time and won't have put up with them going out to dinner and shopping while he's been slaving away only to come back in the evening and slag off the record.
They had completed Release by November, so it's safe to assume that there'll be a single sometime in early March, with the album to follow in April.
Nickname, get over the whole album having 10 tracks thing, for God's sake.

You know all that?
Now I've heard Horn is looking after the whole album, I'm expecting very good things and am looking forward to it much more than any PSB album since Very!

Well, the only song I know is Numb and it's not a happy song really.
"I wanna be Numb, I don't want to feel this pain no more"
