In the meanwhile, Erasure broke a new record: Their latest single "Here I Go Impossible Again/All This Time Still Falling Out Of Love" dropped no less than 38 places in its second week in the UK chart, from #25 to #63

Pet Shop Boys biggest second week drop was A Red Letter Day, which lost 33 places in its second week (9 -> 42). But that song reached the Top 10 and it's 3rd week position was still one place higher than the 2nd week position of the latest Erasure single.

Pet Shop Boys had 4 UK #1 singles, Erasure had 1.

Pet Shop Boys had 35 UK Top 20 singles, Erasure had 29
Pet Shop Boys had 1 non-top 20 single, Erasure had 6

Pet Shop Boys - Erasure: 3-0

do they sing the blues ? if so a shirt of a similar hue could be recommended, I wonder if Aaron knows of a supplier

I like to sing also. but I imagine singing acapella harmony in a group is pretty difficult. the guy singing the main line has it easy enough but when your part is one of the harmonys you sort of are forced to do a sort of counter-melody.
plus you better be good and spot on as you dont have guitars or keyboards to cover up off notes.

theres nothing worse than acapella gone bad.

I do think Vince Clarke is a genius, but Erasure lyrics rarely have anything to say -- it's like fluffy free form poetry. As for that bulletin board, I've always found it very bitchy and unfriendly. Then there are all those rules about not mentioning chart positions on there etc. Ridiculous.

Yeah. That came in when i told the board that the 2nd single off Nightbird only sold 7,000 units and the guy in charge of the forum called me a liar. Ther ewas no reason at all that i'd lie. The proof was there. The song above them sold 7,100, the song below sold 6,900. Anyway, that forum rule was put into place and i was banned

*LOL* And we thought the PSB forum on Sky had ridiculous moderation... - But I can imagine they don't like facts and figures, because they show Erasure's decline over the past few years (let alone their artistic decline). I liked Erasure during the Chorus period and during the I Say I Say I Say era, but after that I haven't really heard good stuff from them.
