Suggestions of collaborations for the new album
I´d suggest Sash! . Yesterday I listened to the "best of" and it´s as fresh as if it was released now.

"It´s fundamental that we do only exist in our own universe. When you like Pet Shop Boys, you are in our world. This is absolutely crucial to our entire outlook...what we do has an incredibly strong identity and applies only to us. It´s a case of not recognising the existence of anybody else!". Neil Tennant.

Please, the last thing they need is to come out all guns blazing with some god-awful late-90's trance.
Anything would be preferable to that - including use of spoons on knee/banging of pots and pans.

I must admit I did have a soft spot for Sash in a kind of trashy Eurodance way. 'Mysterious Times', 'Ecuador' and 'Stay' were particularly great. Little chance of PSB being produced by him now, though, and I doubt they rate him anyway as they didn't use him in the late 90s when he was popular.
As for collaborations, just linking up with Trevor Horn again for the new album is exciting enough for me.

Passion, love, sex, money, violence, religion, injustice and death. More on that story later.

I'll just settle for a "Tennant and Lowe" collaboration

I do miss all the cheesy europop from the 90s - the charts are full of anodyne r'n'b now.Kris wrote:I must admit I did have a soft spot for Sash in a kind of trashy Eurodance way.
