I think you misunderstood I meant that if the C2H demos were to be used it should be for a re-release of the C2H "soundtrack" with the second cd having the orignal demos.

I think the bonus cd to night life should have the nightlife b-sides and some unreleased Nightlife tracks NOT the C2H demos.

Looking back on Nightlife...

Is it just me that thinks this album had some really great tunes and on the opposite such boring songs as: Happiness is an option, the only one, footstep...and of course New York city boy....(So camp, and 0 soul)

Anyway...that my insight....

I love that CD. it gave me 2 of my all time favorite PSB songs. drunk and vampires

I adore Nightlife but I really can't understand this continuing obsession with the Further Listening release. Let's (hopefully) savour the new album first and wait until a quiet patch for the Nightlife reissue.

I think the obsession is because it seems like it would be on track to be released resonably soon and there is always a chance of there being at least 1 new song on the further listening section. at least thats why I would like to see it released.

I also have a thing for thier little comments on the tracks.

Well, this is quite it....those little comments... Isn't great that they actually take the time to do it....

I almost monthly return to read 1 or 2 comments ...

I´ll be more than happy if they just include some dance version of Drunk they did but never release, as mentioned on some Literally Issue, don´t remember wich one now..

Nightlife is their midlife crisis album. It has some excellent tracks on it but suffered from the writing of the musical at the same time. I actually wish Happiness is an option had been the first single because it has a very strong melody and may have prevented their fall from grace(or at least delayed it).

I like I don't know what you want but I can't give it any more but it was a strange choice for a first single, particularly at a time when radio stations were waiting to banish them from their playlists. New York City Boy was the final nail in their coffin in terms of playlists, credibility and the zeitgeist. Even Erasure fans could feel superior, if only for the time it takes to change leotards.

I think for all Neil's talk of it having a theme(they're all songs about what happens at night, eh?

), it is actually their most disjointed album and lacks the defining moments which make their previous work distinct. It's an amorphous album.

I disagree! Personally I like it lots
despite of 'Musical' trax like 'In De-
nial'. Regarded by the sound, ev'ry

find it a bit 'dark' but that's exactly
what I like at it.
