Only thing is.....

The want to remix it use more guitars and stuff, Johnny Marr joined them in the studio last week to record some tracks.

I think a good fan has to know what kind of songs are good and which ones are not so good (or bad). Of course, it depens on your taste.
But if I don't like Release, it doesn't mean I am not a real fan.
I appreciate their changes of style but I think the quality is weaker on this album than others.
If you have to choose one album to explain to someone who never has listened the PSB's music, what kind of music they have done during their career. You would have to choose any other album but Release (because this one doesn't represent as well as the others, the real essence and style of their work).
They tried to do something different to themselves and tried to be like a rock group in some way.

If somebody would ask me an album which represents best the PSB music I'd give him the album "Very". You're right, Release doesn't represent their music/style, but it must be appreciated. Our boys can play rock too, after all ;)

WTF? You are not a fan if you don't like Release? That's crap!
What's the point? Release has nothing to do with how much you're a "fan" of the boys. Problem is that most of PSB fans can't enjoy guitar based music. It's all about liking or disliking a thing. I hate The sound of the...so ain't I a fan now because I don't know how to appreciate it? Apart from the Release doesn't make anyone more special. Neil and Chris are making music and nothing else...

It takes time to decide what kind of cover and set list and all that stuff they´ll have on the album...

No it won't. Why not? Trevor Horn is a clear-thinking, firm producer that doesn't get messed about by the artist. PSB's overindulgence is most obvious on their selfproduced tracks.

To make things clear there's a difference between "like" and "respect/appreciate" someone's work. For example, I don't like "The sound of the atom splitting", but I respect their work and I don't call the song crap or make fun of it.

You can call this "a bloody pompous arrogant thing". It's just my opinion, so don't take it personal.

They often do tweak things here and there late on, though. For example, replacing Miserablism with End of the World on Behaviour; adding Happiness Is An Option to Nightlife and altering the arrangements on In Denial and Drunk; removing I Didn't Get Where I Am Today from Release. This isn't a criticism of them, by the way - I've always found the 'perfectionist' element of PSB an admirable quality.

Dumber
altering the arrangements on In Denial and Drunk
Even dumber
removing I Didn't Get Where I Am Today from Release
Well it isn't the dumbest of the 4 examples but it came close

So best they can do is release the album now as is. :D
