Which isnt true - I was only stating what it was. Others are welcome to disagree.

You forgot to add the words '... on tune'. Something which could not be said about approximately 20 finalists. But that's a different discussion, which shouldn't take place within this topic.

That is a good point. In my opinion there have been very few Eurovision entries or winners that it is possible to take seriously. I would say that there are quite a few that can sing in tune but then they have horrific costume or wardrobe choices which destroy any credibility that they have. I think Bucks Fizz were the last quality UK entry..Shame you can't get relegated really. Maybe Neil & Chris should enter for a laugh...they could do Shameless or How Can You Expect To Be Taken Seriously (or given how long Terry Wogan has been presenting it for the UK This Must Be The Show (Place) I've Waited Years To Leave.

I wasn't aware that the boys had done Pokemon..have they done Yu-Gi-Oh..If you mean Potemkin what's the point of being famous if you can't do things that you like..Potemkin is more challenging musically than other work they have done as the themes are being driven by someone else. I think it is fantastic that we have pop stars like them who are actually intelligent and classically influenced instead of the brainless morons in groups like Blue, Girls Aloud etc....

There have been classical influences all through their back catalogue like Devices, Jealousy, most of the Release album... bring on the DVD next..

I just wish they would release the Release tour on DVD or CD as I absolutely loved the way they reworked their music for that.

I think that the criticism can be a bit harsh, for me their standards haven't really declined that much. 'Nightlife' is their worst album while 'Release' was a bit of a let-down but they are still producing great songs. 'Disco 3', 'Battleship Potemkin' and the singles from 'PopArt' are all fantastic and hint at great things for the new album. An area where they have declined a little is on the b-side front, Transparent, Sexy Northerner, Nightlife and Ghost Of Myself are all quite worrying.

I have said time and time again that it's great that they did it since it'll look on their C.Vs and they obviously enjoyed getting involved but that doesn't necessarily mean that

a.It's any good

b.I can't slag it off

c.It doesn't interfere with work on the proper PSB album which I'm far more interested about.

P.S: My favourite track is Pikachu Blues.

For the record, I like the Potemkin soundtrack.

Most of it is quite so-so, but the sequence of electronic music in the final third of the sountrack is really quite good. It gives me faith that the new album might actually be quite good.

However, I cannot stand NTFT, and as I've already said, if the new album even so much as gives a knowing wink toward that god-awful ballad which turns into Red Letter Day, its going in the food blender.
