Got Battleship Potemkin CD Today!!

I've noticed my CD-R has no mention of PSB except in big lettering; "Tennant/Lowe". Not got the commercial edition yet.

No Hong Kong release, it is

I've buy it by Media Markt.

BUT IN THE MOST STORES, THE CD IS THERE BUT THE SELLERS DON'T KNOW WHERE THEY PUT THEM.

First I have searched by soundtrack : no result.
Second I search by Pet Shop Boys : no result.
Third : B...Battleship, P...Potemkin : no result.

I asked someone and nobody knows it's a PSB-CD.

Where I find it ??? WITH THE LETTER " T " .

Why " T " ??? On the CD you see "T"ENNANT / LOWE .

Can you believe it ???

The T for Tennant/Lowe would be a logical place to put it, if you don't know it's in fact a PSB release.

My copy of BP (imported from the UK) arrived today

Has anyone put the actual film on yet and played the cd at the same time, to see if there are any balls ups that EMI seem to be good at?

Aren't there deliberate timing differences on the CD to stop people adding the music to the video and coming up with the whole thing?

Maybe they couldn't get the original
(uncut) version in their hands when
working on it ... I may be wrong.

I had the Trafalgar square recording so I heard it for the first time long ago and I really fell in love with that music!
I listen to it quite often, a fabulous piece of music.
Comrades!, Odessa, To the shore, To the battleship, HNight falls, After all, NTFT, For freedom, Nyet... Everything is a great piece of music. It was even beyond my expectations...

If the timing differences on the CD are due to problems in getting the rights of the film... (as some rumours say) Couldn´t the ICA have thought it before????????????

As well as the obvious goodies like 'No time for tears' and 'Men and Maggots' I really like 'To the shore', and 'Full steam ahead'.

Finally got my copy. The first thing I did was re-burn it without all that nasty copy control crap so I can now put it in my PC and listen to it without having to remember to hold down "shift".

I haven't listened to it all in one go yet, just played little bits here and there, and I really like it.
