On reading this, it looks like it's just a collection of Xmas songs, compiled by Elton John. It isn't a cover version by him...

It'd be good if Neil did some backing vox or something.

I'm kinda surprised he chose this one, tho. It's not really that strong a song.
Do I look like a f*****g people person?

Native is correct.
“Music plays a more important part at Christmas than at any other time of the year. It is the only season that has its own genre of music,' explained Elton. 'recently it has become de rigueur to do a Christmas album.
But I do not want to do one. I would rather compile this album of my favorite Christmas songs by my favorite artists."
At least Pet's are one of his favourites :wink: ..
They make a little go along way.. very Minimal but Fundamental.

Looks like he would be putting the PSB SONG onto a Xmas compilation, not covering the song.
Yo, Mr. Dopeman, you think your slick;
Ya sold crack to my sister, and now she's sick.
But if she happens to die, because of your drug;
Im puttin' in your culo, a .38 slug!

Yeah, some of the Pet Shop Boys' other Christmas songs may have been more appropriate! :wink:

Yeah! There version of "Oh come all yea faithful" is particularly...disturbing.

(How strict are they about that 'no innuendo' rule here?)

Elton John covering a PSB song? Good news, and good 100% royalties for the Boys, no? :whistle:

"It´s fundamental that we do only exist in our own universe. When you like Pet Shop Boys, you are in our world. This is absolutely crucial to our entire outlook...what we do has an incredibly strong identity and applies only to us. It´s a case of not recognising the existence of anybody else!". Neil Tennant.
