Managed to get to teh PUB concert on saturday, sneaked away from my work - took some pictures, recorded West End Girls singing 'West End Girls'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this one will be up tomorrow! and a SIGNED copy of the single which will be up on e-bay tomorrow, watch out

Just watched their 'Domino dancing' video on their official site. Before that I'd neither seen or heard them before, but curiousity got the better of me...
Well, I don't really know what to make of them! For a start the singer sounds far too foreign to do justice to an English language song. They are clearly trying to be a female PSB, and painfully so at times. The imagery they're blatantly taking from PSB (in this vid the headwear and the roses for instance) makes them look desperate. Whilst singer girl is not really trying to be NT, keyboard girl is clearly trying to be Chris with the copyright uninterested looks and mannerisms whilst standing at the keyboard.
The music wasn't too bad until we got to that awful sampled guitar, but I expect they've had very little to do with the music, so I don't suppose they can get much credit there either.
In summary - Drop trying to exactly copy PSB, singer get some English singing lessons, and write some new songs. Might not sound as bad when they're not ripping off one of the Boys songs! Until that time, a gimmicky, Pop Idol type duo who won't last very long IMHO.
