It's a clip from the Radio 1 documentary 'About Pet Shop Boys', recorded and broadcast in 1996. It was then available on a limited edition CD from the fan club. Try eBay, it's worth seeking out.

I can not listen to the sample but I guess it might be from "Break 4 love", which Neil did in collaboration with Peter Rauhoffer.
(Pet Shop Boys + Peter Rauhoffer = The Collaboration).
There he sings "I want you, I need you, got to have you..." and then a deeper voice goes "break 4 love".
Is that what you meant?

I have listened to the clip, it's definately from 'About Pet Shop Boys', when they're listening through old demo tapes.

BTW regarding the sample, why cant you hear it? Are you having trouble downloading it from Rapidshare? You click on the link, scroll down the page and press 'Free' and when the next page opens, scroll down and wait for the timer to countdown, then download from the link.

Another great song from 'About' that we still haven't heard a complete version of. I wish they would follow up on that "I don't think we're 80's enough" quote. 'Fat Northern Bastards' could also be interesting.

The "I Need You" part was Neil singing a snippet from Stacey Q's song, "Two Of Hearts". (One part of Stacey Q's song goes: "...I-I-I need you...")

Neil was joking about one of Chris' demos.

This is *NOT* a PSB song, or in any relation to do with Neil, Chris or PSB.

I think they have the problem I have occasionally. I do that but the countdown never happens. seems you have to delete the cookies in your cache otherwise at least for some of us it doesnt allow multiple free downloads. but it will work for me once I get rid of the rapid share cookies.
