what an amazing song that “Only Love”

#1 Post by mylene »

Just heard it today; what a beautiful song, especially after 4:00 when Neil repeat “only love”. I hope this will be released as a b-side with a proper lyrics. Can’t imaging that this will be forever as a demo. Did you hear that song, what do you think about it?
there's been some speculation

kind of reminds me of Sail Away part 2 at the very start.

Parts of it sound very nice but it goes on to long without lyrics for me to be anything special.

But i love the end.

I like it, but I like Motoring better.

It sounds pretty good and hardly like a demo. Only needs some more vocals.

I also like motoring better. I think only love's drums are way to busy sounding and it appears to be a loop of either the chorus music or the verse. its as though they found a nice chord progression and melody and hadnt fleshed it out yet.I also dont like that sample that is in there. its distracting.

as far as motoring I love the part where neil sings "for to live is to drive in fast cars."
love how he draws out each word

Motoring wins. But they´re not very PSB´ish songs.

I agree, and it should be a as B-side soon.

"It´s fundamental that we do only exist in our own universe. When you like Pet Shop Boys, you are in our world. This is absolutely crucial to our entire outlook...what we do has an incredibly strong identity and applies only to us. It´s a case of not recognising the existence of anybody else!". Neil Tennant.

They are demo recordings made during the album sessions which are circulating on some p2p sites.

On the Nov.2000 Demos CD-R. Having someof the demos on p2p sites is one of the reasons why I won't mp3 the new songs.

But why does it bother you? You should be happy that other fans have had the chance to hear these songs, I would be.Come on man music is for everybody!

Be consistent. You previously stated that the reason was they were sealed and you wanted to keep it that way.

Did you read my comment carefully? "ONE OF THE REASONS"? The other reason being sealed

Put it this way, if it wasn't sealed, I wouldn't upload mp3's anyway. My choice

"Only Love" is okay, sounds half finished though. "Motoring" is a bit cluttered for me and lacks a focus. I doubt they will ever release these songs unless a unreleased boxset comes out one day...

Honestly, I don't really like either Only Love or Motoring, and i usually adore just about everything PSB put out.
