There is a fantastic article on p140 in the new Mixmag (UK March 2006 Issue) which sees Neil & Chris make their choices with an explaination for each:

Quite frankly, this astonishes me. How could N&C say such a thing???

It is TRULY a quintessential PSB song. Catchy, Clever, Camp, Memorable, Danceable and - dare I say it -- Ironic.

I see that this entry doesn't have an attribution, so who blurted this out? Neil? Chris? Their Accountant? :think:

Time will be less kind to New York city boy than Absolutely fabulous, I think, but that's just my opinion ...
I like it here ~~ wherever it is ...

yeah I thought that odd myself givin their comments in the remastered booklet about it. they like it. perhaps they were talking about the critical reaction to it and how its percieved they shouldnt have made it.

There is also a PSB mention in the new edition of The Word. 'Love Comes Quickly' is featured in the greatest love songs section, accompanied by a small piece. They are due to appear in a rather large piece, in next month's edition - including a brand new interview - but I don't know if that will be put back now with the delay in releasing the album.

From what I remember they don't slag it off as such and one of them even says something along the lines of "How DARE you say that?!!" and they mention how well it did in certain countries. I think it's more of a Mixmag opinion. I will have a look tonight.
They do however mention as a footnote that Minimal will be released in early March with Fundamental following before the end!

The mag is worth buying alone for the Ferry Corsten CD on the cover.

Do you know if the PSB have ever said if they're fans of Michael Jackson's music?

I noticed the way they did Disco3 was identical to Michael Jackson's remix album Blood On The Dancefloor. That also had original songs for the first half of the album, then remixes from his last studio album HIStory.

Well, the beginning of the original version of Westend Girls (with Bobby "O") is equal to the beginning of Billie Jean (like PSB recognaize on the BBC2 documentary "Really").
