This is just between you and me.
I have this problem with my cd collection. It's full of daggy songs! I would just like to know how many of you think your collection is not good enough for you? I feel like that all the time. Like look what I listen to:
Michael Jackson
Britney Spears
Madonna
Depeche Mode
George Michael
Duran Duran
What I want to know about these artists is, how do they make such bad music? Pet Shop Boys are different definately. I love them to death. How can the music industry manufacture such rubbish, utter rubbish. Do you all know what I mean?

Michael Jackson = Megastar. A shame that every medal has its reverse.
Britney Spears = Crap. Tho' there's one song I like 'Breathe'
Madonna = Had some brilliant moments and a highlight with the album 'Ray of light'
Depeche Mode = Really great band. I really got into them since 'Songs of faith & devotion'. Still their best IMHO.
George Michael = Giant artist/performer. When you look back at Wham and see what he became. Amazing. (I put him next to Sting, and that's high on the ladder)
Duran Duran = Average with some nice highlights like 'Ordinary world' & 'Wild Boys'

I think the song "toxic" is worthy enough of giving britney a chance. she's got some good stuff here and there such as "sometimes" and her max martin song "one more time' practically inspired every boy/girl band's CD's after.
michael jackson music wise was an awesome talent but he only really had a good run of about 3 CD's then he sort of went down the dumper.
George michael kinda of fell into the trap alot of artists do. they take themselves too seriously and the music suffers. his ratio of good songs to run of the mill per CD got worse in recent years IMO.
depeche mode? I only know one song the personal jesus song.its ok.
Durans newer stuff is far better than the stuff they were putting out when they were at the top of the charts way back when.
madonna,LOVE the music cant stand her various reinventions.

I take this as you admitting that DM are indeed rubbish. I immediately feel like ridiculing you less from now on. Only for a bit, of course!Eldritch wrote:Because people like you are buying it. iIm not saying that the bands in your list are bad, I'm just wondering why have you bought music that you don't like.F2Y wrote:How can the music industry manufacture such rubbish, utter rubbish.
Duran is totally misplaced in F2Y's list, because they are (or were - everyone should have their first three albums) a good band obviously.
There's also one other "artist" from the list of whom I have a quite a lot, but I only bought the albums and singles because of the pictorial images included... Not telling who, though
