Britney Spears - has actually had some great singles. Among them the latest "And then we kiss".

Depeche Mode - really need to bring some happiness into their music again. They are becoming more uninteresting with each album. Expect to see them doing charity work with Sting and Bono soon.

Because people like you are buying it. iIm not saying that the bands in your list are bad, I'm just wondering why have you bought music that you don't like.
I take this as you admitting that DM are indeed rubbish. I immediately feel like ridiculing you less from now on. Only for a bit, of course!

Duran is totally misplaced in F2Y's list, because they are (or were - everyone should have their first three albums) a good band obviously.
There's also one other "artist" from the list of whom I have a quite a lot, but I only bought the albums and singles because of the pictorial images included... Not telling who, though :shhh:
My dearest Avalon, did I not write "I'm not saying that the bands in your list are bad" in my original post. So feel free to ridicule me in the future as well.

But I do agree. Everyone should have the first three Duran albums. Plus Arcadia's So Red The Rose.

Now, that will never happen. The first two sentences are your opinions and you're entitled to them, but your last statement just isn't true. DM are still as far away from Sting and Bono as they have ever been.

I think all those acts are superb, except Britney Spears. I really loved George Michael's last album... very sad in places.

Michael Jackson - some songs are ok. now he´s only mad

Madonna - her older songs were better. Sorry is ok.
Depeche Mode - haven´t much heard their music (believe it or not)
George Michael - was better when he was playing with Wham
Duran Duran - Like their song Rio

I thought that all you Finns lived together in the same house like The Monkees.

We do - but we threw out psb-freak for refusing to shave her legs. We have some standards, you know.

I've got the Arcadia album. Loved Election Day when it came out. Was it Horn or Rodgers who produced that. It sounds like Horn because of the Grace Jones connection I suppose.

It's produced by Alex Sadkin. Neither Horn nor Rodgers were involved in any way with the album - although Rodgers was part of the other Domino dancing spinoff group Power Station and produced the next Duran album Notorious (1986).

You're right, I've just found it. I was thinking of the Rodgers big box sound he tended to give his productions around the same time. Not a patch on the work he did with Edwards I have to say. But he did work with Duran Duran and Power Station didn't he?

But anyway, 'So Red The Rose' isn't a bad album on the whole. As for the original list posted there's only Britney Spears I have a problem with. As for Depeche Mode, well, naturally they rule.
