Canadian release?
I just read here that there may be no U.S. release and they may have to rely on imports, so please tell me that isn't the case with Canadians? Hopefully, this will replicate PopArt, which had a Canadian release. Plus, at an HMV they had a slip case in the PSB section saying 'Look for the new PSB album March 28'. Does anyone know if it'll be imports, because the prices would be pricey, and if we'd get the 2-disc edition which I'm desperate to get, as where I live getting the most basic PSB album is very difficult. I don't want to miss the opportunity.

don't jump to conclusions about a US or Canadian release yet. Nobody has said anything officially one way or the other on this.whateverman42 wrote:I just read here that there may be no U.S. release and they may have to rely on imports, so please tell me that isn't the case with Canadians? It really doesn't matter that much. If there isn't a proper Canadian release, the CD will still be available in Canada as an import. But the drawback is that it'll be a few dollars more expensive... and may arrive in the big record stores a week or two late.
However, I strongly suspect, based on previous PSB Canadian releases, that we will get a Canadian release of the main album, but not the singles. But, that doesn't mean you won't be able to find the singles in Canada, you may have to shop around and pay more $$$

Hey redman, will the official site be redesigned finally? Think I read something about that somewhere in the forum.redman wrote:don't jump to conclusions about a US or Canadian release yet. The EMI Australia website has confirmed that there will indeed be a local release of Fundamental, although I still wouldn't put it past them to just import a load of EU copies and sell them at local prices. They certainly did this with the re-issues. Alas, it would seem that there will be no local release of I'm with stupid, unfortunately.TheGardner wrote:Great! Assume now the same for EMI Australia! But no single releases in both countries (yet)??!!ultraplus wrote:I have been in touch with some people at EMI (Canada),
the subject of PSB came up and it was implied to me that there
will be a domestic release for Fundamental.

I was hoping there might be a slim chance of some PSB radio play here in Australia with Fundamental, but that doesn't seem likely if no singles are going to be released here. If Fundamental was cutting edge enough I thought that Triple J might take it up - certainly won't happen with "I'm With Stupid" but maybe with "Integral" later on?Rusty wrote:The EMI Australia website has confirmed that there will indeed be a local release of Fundamental, although I still wouldn't put it past them to just import a load of EU copies and sell them at local prices. I think there is indeed a slim chance we could hear it on the radio (FBI in Sydney perhaps?), and we will almost certainly see the video on Rage. According to the EMI website the single I'm with stupid will be "at Radio/TV 3 April". I take this to mean that it is simply being used as a promotional device for the album and there will be no local release. Kind of what they did with Flamboyant. I could be wrong of course, or maybe they just haven't made up their minds yet.Docoboy wrote:I was hoping there might be a slim chance of some PSB radio play here in Australia with Fundamental, but that doesn't seem likely if no singles are going to be released here. for any canadians over here (urr to be specific, those from Toronto)
There's a good chance we can get 104.5 chumfm to play I'm with stupid if its requested enough. they played home and dry back when it came out, and I'm with stupid (to me) is way better than that! (Chumfm also played DM's "precious" a LOT, and had a voting thing for a-ha's "analogue" so its possible we can get them to notice PSB).
so please send in requests at www.chumfm.com
thanks!
