Having said that, as a fan in the US, I do understand the quandary....they promoted the crap out of Release, and have toured in the US for their last two albums. So how can they stop now?
Of course, having said THAT- they are getting to the point in the US that it wouldn't be surprising if they soon became relegated to the "import only" status that has claimed so many European bands...it all depends on whether a record label has confidence in them. Considering that PopArt was never released in the US, Release was on Sanctuary, Nightlife was on Sire, Bilingual was on Atlantic, and Very was on EMI, it really wouldn't be surprising if they didn't have a distribution agreement in the US, or were trying to negotiate one.
NOW- as I posted a few weeks ago in another thread along these lines- I did ask redman, and he had not been given any information yet, and that once he has been given info, it will be posted.
In the meantime, it looks like we are just going to have to pad the UK internet sales..... (and yes, mine is ordered already...)
