My interview with Neil and Chris
This week I conducted a 40-minute interview with Neil and Chris in London alongside with six other journalists from other countries. So if you want to know what Neil thinks of Release these days, what's Abu Duque's real part in Fundamental and what's the situation with their current EMI contract, you might want to mosey over to Zeus's site to read a lengthy full transcript of the interview. Oh, and Neil also admits to reading PSB forums on the net and gives some tangible evidence of that...
So you know where to go. Please don't copy/paste the interview here.

You would think perhaps people would appreciate the service message? It is actually Eldritch making something available that is *not* really something you would normally get access to as a favour to other fans. I can certainly understand why he doesn't want it spread around too much.james23_uk wrote:OK, I dont get this. If you dont want people to see it at this site then why post about it here?

It was a cough that carried him off. It was a coffin they carried him off in.

So have you already put it there?Eldritch wrote:This week I conducted a 40-minute interview with Neil and Chris in London alongside with six other journalists from other countries. I can see why he wouldn't want it to be spread around, but can't we be trusted or something? It would surely have been better just to post it there and not mention here I would have thought.Joemoz wrote:You would think perhaps people would appreciate the service message? The five hundredth member to register there gets a free sealed promo copy of Fundamental, courtesy of Technotrancemix.

No, it's not. It's called advertising. It's on Zeus's forum: if you want to read it, you can go and sign there to read it. Just like if you wanted to read the new Q, you would walk over to newstand to buy it. Except that this time you don't even have to pay any money nor walk anywhere. What's exactly is the problem with that?james23_uk wrote:OK, I dont get this. If you dont want people to see it at this site then why post about it here?

Yes, it's up there. In the Pet Shop Boys Discussion section where it's also discussed. Zeus has also posted a more readable version of it on the Fundamental sub-forum in there.Vicki wrote:So have you already put it there?Eldritch wrote:This week I conducted a 40-minute interview with Neil and Chris in London alongside with six other journalists from other countries. Exactly. I usually transcribe interview tapes only partly: I take from them the things I know I'll need in my article, and even then I write everything down really quickly so I can transcribe the tape in real time. This time I wrote down everything in a readable form, which took me about 3 hours - four times longer than it would have done, if i had done it only for my own purposes. Because of that unpaid and unasked for extra effort - and naturally copyright laws too - I think I have the right to decide where I want to put the thing up for other fans to read.Joemoz wrote: It is actually Eldritch making something available that is *not* really something you would normally get access to as a favour to other fans.
