they should have had a maxi single with all the mixes on. New track on two track single and new track on vinyl. I know not everyone would be happy with the exclusive track being on vinyl but the tracklisting as is involves too much duplication of tracks. At the very least I was expecting the formats as listed to be followed by a vinyl release of the mixes, as Depeche Mode have done for all the singles off PTA. Hurray I can get to own the same version of I'm with stupid on three formats (4 times in total if you include the video) and again on Fundamental. I think if EMI are expecting, due to 'Little Britain' actors being in the video, the DVD to fly off the shelves they are gonna be very disappointed.

What pisses me off most about downloads is the quality. I’m over Vinyl, so a 12” doesn’t interest me, but if I could get WAV or Windows Lossless versions I’d be OK with it.
I think a lot of artists make just the a-side available to download in the week running up to the single release and then the b-sides/remixes are available in the same week as the CD.
Also, I think that officially EMI/Parlophone don't like releasing DVD singles and are only doing it because they see sales potential because of the Walliams/Lucas video. Whatever single they choose as a follow up will probably not have a DVD single unless the video is equally likely to sell well.
First time poster, long time lurker alert ! Well, I actually used to post on the old Dotmusic boards under a different nick, which seems like a lifetime ago.
I'm a little bit apprehensive as to the quality of these digital downloads. I'm a stickler for quality mp3's and rip all my CD's at varible bit-rate and try to get maximum sound quality without resorting to the huge filesizes that encoding at 320kbps creates.
What bit-rate are these files usually at ? I just kinda hate the idea of having something that isn't quite CD quality in some form or other; which a nice maxi-cd release would ovbiously rectify.

You've got the added benefit of Little Britain fans and collectors aswell as Pet Shop Boys fans and collectors!
They have got this spot on. I take it if there are 6 mixes to download and you download all 6, thatcounts as 6 units sold. Remixes IMO are generally rubbish anyway. So hopefully, you can hear a sample and pick and choose what you would like to download.

I'm not a fan of Texas, and I'm hardly a fan of Peter Kay (tho I do like Phoenix Nights and Max & Paddy, his live performances are shite!)
