digital I'm with stupid remixes - how can I buy?

#1 Post by Tomas »

As mentioned in another topic, I'm with stupid remixes will be available for purchase via digital download stores (DDS).

As there are no DDS to my knowledge in my country, Czech Republic, I'd like to know how can I legally obtain the mixes. No problem witn internet payment for me, but I can't join iTunes for example, as that's limited to some countries.

Is anyone aware of any worldwide / Europe-wide DDS?

Or is the only solution to ask/pay someone from "better Europe" (as if we are not in EU) to download it for me, and to hope I'm receiving my "genuine" copy, and not a copy of their copy (or vice versa)?

Thanks!

If they appear on MSN music for example you pay via your mobile phone - not sure if any other sites offer this service.

MSN.cz doesn't offer downloads and MSN.co.uk (OD2) is only for UK residents... :(

Yes, but I'd happily pay for my legal versions anyway (however ridiculous that may look :) ).

If it depends of the good will of people who mostly brag and do not share, I really don't know...

the question for these legal versions always is: How good is their quality! Assume we will pay for 128k crap... :?

Im sorry but I disagree with your arguement and am taking sides with Eldritch and Co.

Ive I received something and If I broke the rules and contract, I lost my job and livelihood, then the risk is just too great.

With regards to the quality of the mixes: If we are to pay for them by download, then I believe that we, the customer, should be given a choice and pay for the quality.

I dont see why I should pay say (6x79p = £4.74) for 6 remixes in 128 when they would be £2.99 in CD quality. Thats called ripping the public off.

Maybe we'll also face some changes here. Good will disappearing (not the Fundamental one, but people's). Sadly may be easier to get the remixes off fori (ie, P2P, warez) than from petheads...

Now I'm sure I have't been clear. I'm on your side when you might say there are several good reasons for... you know what.

I'm just stating a fact. If the fact is happening for the right reasons, that's fine with me. But a fact is a fact and I just said that.

Why would you wanna pay for downloads when you get them elsewhere for free? :?

You're right. I'd prefer a not chart elegiable CD with all the mixes, though. That would be fantastic.

Because I can afford it and have MP3/whatever player, I see no reason (on my side) to avoid buying a legal "copy". But it seems they make it quite difficult.

The frightening thing is that, if they manage to get a good chart position thanks to the remixes sales (each purchase counts as 1 single sold), they might stop releasing maxi CDs...

I won't pay for a download, even if it's only 1€. But I would pay a lot for a proper maxi-CD.
