I didn't get where I am today
When Flamboyant came out I loved its b side from the first listen. Even now it's one of my most played PSB tracks. Everything about it is wonderful - the guitars, the arrangement, the lyrics, the vocals, the hooks. And yet judging from this forum it seems to be generally kicked around and stepped on by fans.
Mind you, I'm one of those people who finds I get along to be one of their finest singles ever and who adores Birthday boy and Hit and miss so maybe I'm not a true fan or something.
So what are your thoughts on I didn't get where I am today? Why is it so maligned?
Personally I'm shocked it wasn't a single and consider it just the latest in the series of blunders made beginning in 1996 (ouch!).

I think it's great. I can't understand why it was left out of Release and I think I might even have found it to be the best track of Fundamental if they had saved it for that.
I don't think it's all that similar to Sodom and Gomorrah show.

It was a cough that carried him off. It was a coffin they carried him off in.
