I'm with stupid - out in Australia today
I'm with stupid was released in Oz land today.
The CD maxi has the same tracklisting as the European version but it looks like it was manufactured here compared to all other recent PSB releases that have been UK/EU imports.
Barcode for Steffen's discog is 0946 362854 2 9
Am I right is saying this barcode is different?
The DVD was also released but this looks like an import. Barcode is 00946 362788 9 6.

I got the CD single but none of the stores in the city in Sydney had the DVD single in stock....available next week so I was told. Not sure what the hold up is. HMV had quite a large display, which was great to see. Unfortunately radio has completely ignored it and I have only seen the video on Rage a couple of times and once on Video Hits. None of the cable channels have been playing it as far as I can tell. I can't see it going top40, but it might do better than Miracles (#64) since there are two formats available.

Yes the DVD is the same as for the European release, cause it's in PAL which is common in DownUnder. Should be interesting which DVD the canadians will get! Assume it will be a NL NTSC version.
Paulo, some more questions:
Is the cat# also pressed on the CDs with the note 'Made in EU'? And do you find an URL (www.mediamotion.com) on the inner ring of the disc(s) ???
Also need the info, which CDs came out in AU- only the 3-tracker? Or the 2-tracker also? Are they copy controlled???

Steffen,
The cat# 3628542 is printed on the inner ring of the cd along with another code - ifpi LR11. There also appears to be a logo in a box of some sort, maybe "SM" (in block letters with a shadow) followed by the number 6161022904. There is no URL.
We only have the 3 track cd released here and it is copy controlled.

okay, so I have to hunt for some of those also! Seems it's an NL pressing especially for the Australasia market!Paulo wrote:The cat# 3628542 is printed on the inner ring of the cd along with another code - ifpi LR11. yes the sleeve always is made in the area the discs come out! But the discs often were produced in NL in the last time. But now on the I'm with stupid AU version, I'm not sure anymore! Declared it as AU disc in the discography.Paulo wrote:NL as in Netherlands?
It does say in the white writing that goes around the outside of the cd "Made in Australia".

Yes, I too searched the city stores for the DVD single, but only the CD single seemed to be available. HMV in Pitt Street Sydney had heaps of copies though - about 30 in the "New Releases" display. "The Resurrectionist" is very catchy, isn't it....Rusty wrote:I got the CD single but none of the stores in the city in Sydney had the DVD single in stock....available next week so I was told. Oh, so THAT is where TOTP has moved to! I wish they would stop shifting it about, it is SO annoying. It was on UK TV every Sunday at 5 for ages, and then disappeared only to turn up again later on Fox8 on Saturday afternoons for awhile and then it seemed to disappear for altogether. I'm bloody annoyed I missed it this morning!flankerboy wrote:I saw I'm with stupid on Top of the Pops on Fox 8 (Foxtel) this morning!

After a little research I can answer my own question. It seems Abe Duque, Max Tundra and the Instrumental mixes are already available for download from Bigpond and Optus. For some reason though the PSB Maxi Mix is not available. Single version and B-sides all available as well.Rusty wrote:Also, does anyone know if the I'm with stupid mixes will be available from local download sites? I know that the Australian singles chart, like the UK chart, also now incorporates downloads.
