It's fairly scorching in its characterizations. On the contrary, "Fugitive" is an ecstatic meditation, highly sympathetic, to the presumably high ideals of thise murderers.
Apparently Neil is too above it all when he romanticizes what it takes to slit a man's throat and crash the planes into buildings.
If PSB and Neil Tennant wants to characterize, and romanticize, the 9/11 hijackers as heroes, it's his right to do so.
But I am utterly shaken and nauseated that PSB thought they should do so.
I'm extremely disgusted, but perhaps that was the pointless f***ing point.

This is a song that simply takes the perspective of someone who lives in another world, so to speak. It is not a song that endorses terrorism, it is a song that describes the possible feelings of people involved with terrorism.
I think the lyrics, simple as they are, are extremely powerful. Especially in the contest of the greatest pop song PSB have written in absolute ages.

I posted about this and it was removed. Because I guess this place will go down when it's truly revealed that, yes, Neil and Chris's sympathies were with the terrorists of 9/11. "Fugitive" is their love song to those guys.
