Miracles - 11,000 copies (more or less)

I'm with stupid - 14,285 copies

According to the official site:

UK Radio Play - 15 May '06
"I'm with Stupid" has moved back up the UK radioplay chart from 27 to 12.

Still not more copies sold than Home and dry then if I remember correctly.

impressive. If they only had it for sale here. It wouldn´t succeed so well anyway. People in Finland (except me) listen to some awful Nightwish, stupid The Rasmus and some other horrible finnish bands and "artists"

Well anybody can prove me wrong but I think home and dry also sold more than 14k in its first week. But the figures of Miracles and Flamboyant (both around 11 600) are correct.

It did. I don't know the exact figure but I distinctly remember the midweek threads on Aimoo for Home and Dry and it had already sold 14,500 units by Wednesday - so I'm guessing the final figure was at least 18,000.

Think this is wrong though. I pretty much know for sure that they didn't sell more than 15k of Home and dry in the first week. Anyone got exact figures for this ?

you could argue that the sales for I'm with stupid are more of an achievement considering HAD had far more different tracks spread across the formats

Home and Dry did 14,000 in it's first week. So these figures for Stupid are fantastic. These would guarentee you a number 1 in January! With 6,000 copies sold after Tuesday, it must be the first sinlge for ages to keep selling strongly throughout the week.

Here is what Music Week has to say ;-

With Gnarls Barkley's slow fade continuing, and the Pet Shop Boys securing the week's only Top 10 debut, singles sales dip week-on-week by 2.3% to 1,136,470, their lowest level for seven weeks, although they are 46.3% higher than the 766,643 tally they achieved this week in 2005, when Akon's Lonely was number one with sales of 59,772.

Registering their 37th Top 40 hit - more than any other duo - in a chart career that stretches back more than 20 years, The Pet Shop Boys debut at number eight on sales of 14,285 with I'm With Stupid, the introductory single from their upcoming Fundamental album. The singles performance promises well for the album - the last four PSB singles all peaked short of the Top 10, and none of their singles has charted higher than number eight since Before peaked at number seven exactly 10 years ago.
