I've just been listening as well, and was quite excited when it came in at #23. It is a great result considering it has had absolutely no airplay. The last single to chart in the top 40 was SAVE which got to #11 in, what was it, 1997? So it's been a long time between drinks, so to speak. It's actually only their 16th top40 hit in this country. I'm now starting to believe Fundamental will manage top10 after this result. I think word of mouth is the key to it's success here in oz. Already a number of friends have commented to me that they've heard that the Pet Shop Boys new album is meant to be one of their best.

Wow. congrats Neil and Chris if you reading... I have a feeling one of you does!
No 23 without airplay is good indeed. I would be happy if it is still in the top 50 next week but I doubt it.

I am sure Before/Somewhere made the Top 40 too (post Very releases).... Can someone confirm?

I think Fundamental will be Top 30 but not Top 20. I can only wish!

PS: Was @ castle Hill today and asked the guy @ Sanity if they had the I'm with stupid DVD version and he tells me that dont even have the CD version in stock.... I checked in the Singles area and it was there (the CD version).... so I told him and he goes Dude I dont listen to Retro stuff ya know.... what a wa----
