Perhaps it is just me, but I got the impression that for the past two months all we got to hear was encouraging feedback on the new album... But now that it is actually finally released, I find this forum sodden with whinging. Erm, well, I suppose it's kinda ironic (or isn't it, isn't it?) that I'm whinging myself now, but anyways

So, is there a majority out there which does have something positive to say?

I thought this thread was going to be about the virtues of using a scientific method when researching a subject, as opposed to a more objective approach. It appears I was very much mistaken in my assumption. As for your question:

Mine isn't delivered either so I want to the shop and bought another copy cos I couldn't wait anymore...

I don't wanna sound very pessimistic or spoiled boy, but I got my CD today and my first impression is (except Minimal and Integral) high disappointment. When I heard Minimal and Integral I thought this album would be a real treat but alas I was needlessly hastened...

When I heard Boys had returned to their roots I expected much more than only "returning to the synth sound"...Sorry, but what the hell are God Willing or Twentieth Century? What is the purpose? What is that Psychological? Why do they sound unfinished demos to me? Why do you keep Fugitive, which shows you still have a strong knack for highly melodic tunes, into mix album? Why is this deliberate downtempo?

Anyway either I am getting very old and terribly bickery or the Boys are on the verge of losing it... I am jealous of you who loved it...I have been waiting for this album since I had heart about it for the first time...and Flamboyant-Miracles...all shining...sigh...maybe it will grow on me but with Numb or Lunapark that seems an unlikely thing.

Hope you enjoy much more than me:(

Maybe you'll come round to it Dreamcatcher.
I think melodically, lyrically, sonically, its a good album, a a really decent piece of work.
My only slight gripe is that there could have been one more uptempo (Minimal-ly) track on there.
But, as being slightly, ahem, older artists, i think its dignified to do more slow, thoughtful numbers. Makes the stompers more precious too.

i do the album is great andi love it and there is no boys hanging around behind them with electric guitars and neil and chris are oing lots of publicity and minimal is gonna be on the wy soon
