The ONLY pre-chart that means anything is the Midweeks. Then its all down to the final chart issued on a Sunday. THEY ARE ALL THAT MATTERS.

And, whilst we're on the subject, there was a time not too long ago when a lot of us seriously thought a new PSB albuim wouldn't make the Top 10 (after Popart and with the subsequent increase in UK album sales). 'Fundamental' will be a top 10 album and no one has died.

But thats only what people have purchased off Amazon, which has 3 "not yet released" albums above PSB.

There are other stores in the UK where punters can go and buy the album and I think you find it will be in the Top 10 on Sunday.

Take a look to the rest of albums and you'll see that more of them are in the SHOPS (like Fundamental).

I hope Fundamental is going to be a top 10, it would be disappointing if it wasn't. Fundamental has had a really BIG promotion (not in some "cool" channels but anyway it was good). Release was number 7, I hope Fundamental can sell MANY more copies than it. Another thing would be disappointing.

Do you think only a top 10 one week is good?. No, it's not. This album has been very expensive and the promotion too. I think EMI is waiting something better, not a number one of course but something better than a number 7 (like the "hated" Release).

Fundamental could sell 1000 times more copies than Release and not get anywhere near #7. It all depends on what else punters want to spend their £9.77 on in Tescos this week.

Judging by the first 2 days sales (over 12,000) it is going to out-sell 'Release' first week and in the longer run. It may equal or even come in slightly lower than #7 but it will sell more copies than the last (2) PSB studio albums. That is EMI and PSB chief concern.

Then, cos Nickname can't just enjoy the moment (& the music) I would say it will probably fall down the charts fairly rapidly. BUT, with 'Minimal' due to go to radio in about 5/6 weeks, and with a few live gigs in the interim, it may not die straightaway.

As an afterthought, there is no point in posting a thread like this here.

I would say that the majority of this forum have now purchased the CD. Its up to those members of the public who are not forum members or "elite" PSB fans to go and buy the album and its they who must be told about it.

That job is down to the promotions people at EMI.

They have delivered a great album, that we are all enjoying enormously. Let's just enjoy the moment of its newness and stop fretting about chart positions, they mean sweet f.a. these days.
