Yes, he sang the verse to Neil via mobile phone and this
was later used as a sample for this song.
Neil told so in an Interview in the music mag 'Intro' - see
that part of the interview in that magazine (for the ones
of you knowing German language):

not clear what it was and for what it would be used ...

Does anyone else hear, at one point in the intro, what sounds like "I'm on the phone again" instead of "I'm all alone again"?? Or is it just my imagination?

I didn't mis-hear that line but I did mis-hear the following from minimal ....

and empty box, an open space, a single "fart" leaves a trace!

I chuckled to myself for ages! :lol:
