Didn't Neil say that one of the formats of the single would feature remixes?

Let's hope that they release a maxi-CD or something in other European countries.

So over a month to go. 2 weeks after Neil´s birthday. They always release something (sometimes Literally is out) around their birthdays.
Interviewer:
-What would you tell someone about yourself if you wanted to impress them?

Chris:
-I´ve got a 12-inch plonker.

They should scrap the 7" in favour of a maxi CD

I don't trust this early information yet. I think this is just wat Sirendisc *assumes* will be the formats. Let's wait for official confirmation before drawing conclusions.

In terms of a standard buyer interest, does anything make 7" more attractive than a remixCD?

Personally, i'm not bothered about remixes. I never really listen to them. The 7 inch must have been popular with Stupid, otherwise i doubt they would have gone with it.

I guess the DVD single of I'm With Stupid must have sold well enough to justify a follow-up. Personally, I'd prefer a mix cd, but then PSB mixes aren't exactly the greatest. So, hopefully, as with the I'm With Stupid package, we'll get 2 brand-spanking-new quality b-sides which will do me fine.

I am extremely doubtful about getting an exciting package for this single...

they went in to the Studio to record Girls/Resurrectionist just prior to the release of I'm with stupid, plus we know that No Time For Tears & Bright Young Things may/will feature as B-sides..

I don't think there's going to be much in the way of brand new songs, especially if one of the formats, according to Neil, will contain remixes... this would have to be the DVD, I guess?

A studio version of BYT would be nice as I think its a great song. I really hope NTFT hasn't been mooted for a possible b-side as that would be such a waste. I always thought sticking Sail Away and Screaming on the b-sides was a bit of a waste but this would be even more so.

As for the remixes, well, its likely that the utterly dreadful Tiga mix will turn up on the remix CD, if there is one, so, I'm not particularly filled with hope about the potential remixes; unless, of course, PSB maintain their recent tradition of these maxi mixes they've been knocking out, which means we'll get one listenable remix.

I wish they'd forget about the 7 inch and just do a 2 track CD, remix CD and the DVD single with 2 b-sides, probably one extended or remixed version from the 2 track CD b-side (a la the Ressurrectionist).

Why on earth should No Time For Tears be on the b-side? It has ben after all been released on a legitimate Tennant/Lowe release, unlike Screaming & Sail Away which had been released on "various artists" compilations before that.

I haven't even heard Bright Young Things, so I for one would be glad to have it as a b-side.
