I like the song Young Offender, but on Very it's not very well produced. Hence I reconsider the Jam & Spoon (RIP Mark) remix of it as the best remix of a PSB track ever. It's not on the MIX cd of PopArt without a reason...britboy wrote:By the way whats up with you lot, no one except me selected ' Young Offender ' the standout track from ' Very ' which was crying to be a single ( another missed opportunity ) , when the guys played this in The Hague in ' 99 the crowd went crazy !!

Also, Hit Music and How Can You Expect To Be Taken Seriously (album version) are, IMO, two of their best pop songs! I don't know why most of you lot don't like them.

Because the version the Pets play live is Jam & Spoon's and is far superior to the album versionbritboy wrote:By the way whats up with you lot, no one except me selected ' Young Offender ' the standout track from ' Very ' which was crying to be a single ( another missed opportunity ) , when the guys played this in The Hague in ' 99 the crowd went crazy !!

The fact that they had this remix done in advance of the Very album being released made me wonder if they wanted it to be a single.Avalon wrote:Because the version the Pets play live is Jam & Spoon's and is far superior to the album versionbritboy wrote:By the way whats up with you lot, no one except me selected ' Young Offender ' the standout track from ' Very ' which was crying to be a single ( another missed opportunity ) , when the guys played this in The Hague in ' 99 the crowd went crazy !!
